This is a South African Army Uniform of the Medical Corps. It dates from the 1950's when South Africa was still a Union (prior to becoming a Republic). Hence the British Royal Crown on the insignia. It is labelled and belonged to a Captain R.C. Franz. The material is still in an excellent condition and the jacket heavy and padded. It has been a long time since I've seen such quality in military garments of this sort. Unfortunately the size of the garment is not recorded anywhere, so I took the liberty of taking some measurements on my own:
Sleeve Length of the Jacket: 65cm.
Length of the Trousers: 115cm.
A really nice piece of history and quality blended together.
