The medium decorative wall plate was made by the Boch porcelain factory in Belgium in the earl;y 1980s. The Bosch porcelain factory was founded in 1830 by Francois Boch and his son-in-law in Audun-le-Tiche in Belgium. Many years and re-configurations later the company founded and off-shoot named Villeroy & Boch and today still produces ceramics under the name of Royal Boch. The decorative wall plate measures 30cm across and is in excellent condition. It belonged to my late mother who collected blue porcelain. The plate is made in the blue delfts style and depicts a lute player in teh style of Hals. It will make a great additional to any Delft collection. |
