Megalodon Fossil Shark Tooth

This large fossil shark tooth from Carcharodon megalodon species, ancestor of the Great White, which grew several times the size. This tooth measures over 83 mm along the slant. Collected by trawlers off New Caledonia Island “Grand Passage” South Pacific. Colours, light brown with white cream shady enamel, razor sharp serrations and a tip intact. Root has not been repaired. . Estimated 12 - 28 million years old. Miocene geologic time.
