Sunlight: Amarine thrives in full sun, soaking up our glorious South African sunshine. Ensure it receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for the best flowering.
Soil: It loves well-draining soil. A sandy loam enriched with compost is ideal. Good drainage is key to prevent root rot, especially during our rainy summer season.
Watering: Water regularly during the active growing season (spring and summer), but allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Reduce watering significantly in winter when the plant is dormant.
Feeding: A balanced slow-release fertiliser applied in early spring will encourage a profusion of blooms.
Placement: Plant in borders, rockeries, or containers their versatility means they'll shine wherever you place them! They look particularly stunning when planted in groups, creating a truly impactful display.
