Private William Nicholas Kingma was killed in action in the Balkans on 6 August 1915, whilst serving with the Worchestershire Regiment. However, his father is recorded as Mr C.E. Kingma of Robben Island, Cape Town, South Africa, where the latter appears to have been a lighthouse keeper.
Kingma's War and Victory Medals are recorded as having been returned and although there is no indication, his 1914-15 Star may have been returned as well.
For this reason, Kingma's memorial plaque may well be his sole entitlement.
Due to time constraints only limited information can be supplied in the listing. However, have a look at the description and photograph/s above and if in doubt, please ask.
