A near fine 1935 edition of John Galsworthy's classic tribute to his black Cocker Spaniel, with many lovely illustrations by Maud Earl, four in colour with protective tissue. Maud Earl was famous as an animal portrait artist, while Galsworthy was a prolific fiction writer, best known for "The Forsyte Saga" and its sequels. This book is also a great bed-time read for kids!
