Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3)

The PS3 game is second hand, but in excellent condition. A direct sequel to Metal Gear Solid 2, the newest game in the series is set in the near future where Solid Snake has become an old man before his time thanks to the FOXDIE virus. He’s still more than enough for most bad guys though as he battles Middle Eastern mercenaries led by Liquid Ocelot. What role the shadowy Patriots play in the game is not clear but one element of the storyline seems to be Snake’s attempts to erase his cloned genes from the world, with one sequence appearing to show him contemplating suicide. A whole host of other characters from previous games in the series are featured in the trailer, including Colonel Campbell, Otacon, Naomi Hunter and Meryl Silverburgh – although as ever their exact agendas in the game are cloaked in mystery.
