METALRITE 2 IN 1 QD ENAMEL - Primer & Topcoat all in one is a

Theoretical spreading rate ±8-12m2/l depending on surface porosity. This serves as a guide only. The practical spreading rate will vary depending on the porosity and profile of the substrate, as well as the application technique and tools used.
Surface Preparation:
Ensure that the surface is properly dry and in sound condition,
free from dust, grease, oil, algae, fungus or any loose particles
before painting.
UNPAINTED SURFACES:
New metal (mild steel)
Abrade surface lightly and remove all loose surface rust and
mill scale through wire brushing or sanding. Remove all
remaining rust with METALRITE RUST REMOVER. Clean away
grease, dirt and dust with a good degreaser. Rinse thoroughly
with water until a water break-free surface is attained and
allow to dry.
Previously painted surfaces in sound condition:
Thoroughly clean and prepare surface by removing all dirt,
grease, grime and flaking paint before painting. Rinse with
clean water. Sand glossy enamel surfaces thoroughly to an
even matt finish and dust off.
Previously painted surfaces in poor condition:
Completely remove paint by most appropriate means e.g.
scraping, course sanding or stripping with a good paint
stripper. Wash thoroughly. Rinse with fresh water. Proceed as
for new metal surfaces.
Application Details:
Before application, mix the product thoroughly using a flat paddle. Use a brush, roller, or spray for application. This enamel is ready to use and does not require thinning. Clean tools with enamel thinners after use. Expect a touch dry time of 30 minutes and full drying in 4 hours. Recoat after 1 hour. Apply at least two coats for optimal results.
