| DESCRIPTION | A large framed original oil painting of a Parisian Street Scene done by an artist who signed the painting METZ. It is done on artist's board (fine treated canvass on cardboard). The artist signed this work at bottom right and it is undated but was probably done in the 1950s if we look at the car which is shown in the painting. The framed painting measures 57 x 67 cm and the artwork alone measures 50 x 60 cm. The painting is framed in a modern black wooden frame with a thin gilt inner frame. | A very decorative and colourful painting which is strongly impressionist. In places the paint is very thickly applied to emphasise depth. In the correct setting this will be a very effective artwork. |
