UNUSUAL HANDMADE MEXICAN STERLING SILVER
AND 9CT YELLOW GOLD DANGLE EARRINGS 

These unusual earrings were found in Taxco de Alarcon, a town southwest of Mexico City famed for its handcrafted silver jewellery. Simple in design, a slim tube ending in a decorative finial dangles from the hook; 59mm long in total. A 9ct yellow gold bead dropped onto the stem introduces some movement and adds interest above the grooves that detail the finial. The earrings are 925 sterling silver hallmarked. At 59 mm long they are a good and noticeable size  - and at 6,5 grams, nice and weighty. Handcrafted, modern and distinctly unusual.
