The Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) is a standard for use with tablets and smartphones to connect your smartphone or tablet to a larger HDMI Display. It sends the audio and video signals through the micro USB connector and converts it to an HDMI signal for use on projectors / HDTV's etc to enjoy your movies and games on a much larger display. The signal remains in digital format throughout the entire transmission and conversion process, so no quality is lost.
This cable does not support the Samsung Galaxy S2, Nokia, HTC and other smartphones due to different pin layouts. Please see the other MHL cables we stock that are compatible with the other Smartphones.
Micro-USB-to-HDMI adapter and tip (eleven-pin)
The Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, Note II & III, Mega, Galaxy Tab 3 10.1" and newer mobile devices, use an 11-pin connector and the six additional connector pins in order to achieve functional improvements over the previous 5-pin design.
Please ensure the power adapter supplied with your smartphone or tablet is plugged into the MHL Cable. Some Tablets requires USB Tethering to be enabled under Settings-->More Networks-->Tethering and Portable Hotspot for MHL Cables to functionCompatibility List (Will also work on other 11-pin micro-USB MHL Enabled Devices |
