The onboard precision 2.048V referencevoltage enables an input range of ±2.048V differentially. The MCP3425 deviceperforms conversion at rates of 15, 60 or 240 samples per second (SPS) dependingon user controllable configuration bit settings using two wire I2C serialinterface. The MCP3425 contains an onboard voltage reference (2.048V),programmable gain amplifier (PGA) and internal oscillator. The user can selectPGA gain of x1, x2, x4 or x8 before analogue to digital conversion takes place.This allows MCP3425 device to convert a smaller input signal with highresolution. This can be operated in continuous conversion or one shot conversionmode.
