The MCP3002 features a successiveapproximation register (SAR) architecture and an industry-standard SPI serialinterface, allowing 10-bit ADC capability to be added to any PICmicro®microcontroller. The MCP3002 features 200kSPS, 2 input channels, low powerconsumption (5nA typical standby, 520µA typical active). Applications for theMCP3002 includes data acquisition, multi-channel data loggers and robotics. TheMCP3002 is programmable to provide a single pseudo-differential input pair ordual single-ended inputs. Differential non-linearity (DNL) and integralnon-linearity (INL) are both specified at ±1 LSB. Communication with the deviceis done using a simple serial interface compatible with the SPI protocol.
