User can configure the fullscale range of device to be VREF or 2*VREF by setting gain selection option bit(gain of 1 of 2). Device can be configured to shutdown with the use of registerbit. In shutdown mode, most of internal circuits are turned off for powersavings and output amplifier is configured to present a known high resistanceoutput load (typically 500Kohm). The MCP4921 also incorporate power on reset(POR) circuit to ensure reliable power-up.
