The MikroTik S+RJ10 is a versatile 6-speed RJ45 SFP+ copper module that converts a compatible 10G SFP+ interface into an RJ45 Ethernet connection supporting speeds up to 10Gbps. With automatic negotiation across 10Mbps, 100Mbps, 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps and 10Gbps rates, it provides a flexible way to connect high-speed copper Ethernet equipment to MikroTik devices equipped with SFP+ ports without installing optical fibre.

Six Ethernet Speeds
The S+RJ10 supports six Ethernet link rates ranging from legacy 10Mbps connectivity through to 10Gbps. Auto-negotiation allows the module to establish the highest compatible link rate supported by the connected equipment and cabling.
10Gbps over Copper
The module enables a compatible 10G SFP+ interface to connect directly to RJ45 Ethernet equipment using conventional twisted-pair cabling. At 10Gbps, MikroTik specifies a maximum link distance of up to 30 metres using suitable Cat6 or Cat7 cable.
Multi-Gigabit Connectivity
In addition to conventional 1Gbps and 10Gbps Ethernet, the S+RJ10 supports 2.5Gbps and 5Gbps link rates. This makes it useful for connecting multi-gigabit switches, network adapters, servers, wireless access points and other compatible RJ45 equipment.
Latest /r2 Enhancements
The latest hardware revision, identified by "/r2" at the end of the serial number, adds Digital Diagnostic Monitoring for supply voltage and module temperature, improved link-speed reporting and jumbo frame support up to 10,218 bytes when operating at 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps or 10Gbps.
Cooling Considerations
10GBASE-T copper transceivers generate considerably more heat than typical optical SFP+ modules. MikroTik supports the S+RJ10 in compatible actively cooled SFP+ devices, while passively cooled equipment may require additional cooling depending on the installation and operating environment.
