The MikroTik MT-RBFTC21-UPS is a media converter that facilitates the connection between a 1.25G SFP fibre optic link and a Gigabit Ethernet copper network. Its primary function is to convert signals for network extensions and integrations, making it suitable for Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) and Fibre-to-the-Building (FTTB) deployments. A key feature is its integrated Li-Ion battery, which provides up to two hours of backup power during electrical outages, maintaining network connectivity for critical operations. The device offers versatile power options, accepting input from a DC jack, a 2-pin terminal, 802.3af/at PoE-in, or a USB-C port. This flexibility ensures compatibility with various power sources and installation environments. The converter is equipped with one 1.25G SFP port and one 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet port, delivering reliable data transfer rates for demanding applications. Its compact form factor allows for straightforward installation in space-constrained areas.
