MILITARY HISTORY WW2 VOL1 NO1 MAP ONLY

Purnell's History of the Second World War was a hugely successful weekly anthology of an 8-volume series on WW2, it was first published in1966, being reprinted severaltimes during the 1970s.

The magazine was notablefor its use of multiple writers many of them well-known military figures fromall relevant nationalities in order to present a rounded view of the subjectmaterial. This was combined with high-quality original artwork of the militaryhardware used, maps and numerous previously unseen photographs, some of themquite gruesome.
