Military Uniforms of the World in Color

 It is an immense collection of uniforms covering European and American troops from the late 16th / early 17th Century to 1968. There are over 500 uniforms and descriptions for each. Though brief, these descriptions are informative. Almost every European War is covered, incldueing many smaller conflicts. The more significant wars have more illustrations. For instance, the number for the Seven Years War, French Revolution, Napoleonic Wars, Franco-Prussian War and the World Wars are remarkable. Yet even small conflicts get their due. The focus is primarily on European conflicts, almost to the exclusion of Asia and Africa. Still and all, it sets a high standard. A great little reference work that is long overdue to be reprinted. A must-have for the military historian and military miniaturist.
