'A View of Milkhouse Street, Aug. 7th, 1760.'

Watercolour drawing of Milkhouse Street, Kent (which was renamed Sissinghurst in the 1850s). It has been attributed (by the Parker Gallery?) to Francis Grose (1731-1791).

A superb early English watercolour.

The image itself measures 15 x 19 cm.

Backing board has the label of the Parker Gallery, 'the oldest established firm of picture and print dealers' (established 1750). Provenance: From the Thomas Pennant and Earl of Denbigh collections.

Very good condition. Unframed.
