This is an origional inert Mills No5 hand grenade I obtained a few years ago from a collector in the USA
It has been made safe.
It has been sectioned so as to show the fuse and internal mechanism.
The lever is an early pinned type.
The base plug is stamped "Nov 1916 W.A. &Co No5 1"
The lever and body do show signs of pitting prior to it being refurbished as a display piece.
