Instructions

Fill the main bulb of your Aqua Sphere with water. Hold it under the kitchen sink faucet at a bit of an angle and fill until the main bulb is almost full.

Decide where you want to stick your Aqua Globe into the soil. Choose a spot about half way between the center of the plant and the edge of the pot.

Insert a pen, pencil, or other short stick fully into the soil where you want to insert your Aqua Sphere, and then remove it. Make sure the pen, pencil, or stick is a bit smaller in diameter than the tube of the Aqua Sphere. This creates a path for the Aqua Sphere tube, preventing the glass from breaking or filling with soil. It also ensures that you will not hit any major obstructions (such as a large root) while inserting your Aqua Globe, which could break the delicate glass.

Push the tube of your Aqua Sphere slowly into the starter hole. Insert it at a slight angle, so that the tip of the tube is close to being directly under the center of the plant, a little more than half the depth of the pot.

Remove the Aqua Globe and refill it when it appears empty. Do not be worried if a little bit of soil is in the tube of the Aqua Globe. You can usually flush it out with water, slowly tipping the globe back and forth. For major soil obstructions, stick a pen or wire into the tube to free the obstruction.
