POSTNET IS THE ONLY SHIPPING OPTION FOR THIS COLLECTION

These cigars were gifts to Owen Horwood, who was South Africa’s Minister of Finance from 1975 to 1984. Min. Horwood was not a smoker. There are several random individual cigars included in the two bigger cigar cases.

(I am not an expert so any mistakes made with the description is not intentional.)

  • There are four items in this collection:  1 x wooden cigar box (32cm x 19cm x 8cm) with Senator Horwood’s initials, O P F H (Owen Peter Faure Horwood) engraved on the top. On the inside lid the name Tabacalera is engraved. These cigars are from the Philippines. There are 3 layers of hand rolled cigars – one layer in the bottom and two layers in the moveable tray on top of the first layer. There is a red tag with Horwood printed in gold attached inside the box. Each individual cigar has a red and gold label with Horwood printed in gold. There were two random cigars which is not part of the collection. One screw from the hinge of the moveable tray is missing and the second screw is loose. The rest of the box is in a good condition.
  • 1 x smaller square wooden box (24.4cm x 23.5cm x 4.5cm), also with the initials OPFH on the top and the Tabacalera engraving on the inside. The Tabaclera sticker/seal is also on the outside. The bottom layer of the original 25 hand rolled cigars are still in the box but there are also 12 random cigars from different origins. The labels for the original cigars for this box are also personalised with the surname Horwood. In this box there is a control card and a description of the history of the cigars. (See pictures)
  •  A cabinet with 25 Le Hoyo du Maire Havana cigars still tied in its yellow silk ribbon.
  • 1 x tin with 10 Dannamann small cigars in original packaging.

(Shipping is done on Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
