THE HADDON HALL PATTERN WAS RELEASED BY MINTON IN 1948 AND EVENTUALLY DISCONTINUED IN 2011. THE PATTERN DISPLAYED A BEAUTY IN COLORFUL FLORAL CHINTZ BLENDING PURPLES, YELLOWS, BLUES, PINKS AND GREENS IN AN EXPLOSION OF FLORAL ATTRACTION ON EACH ITEM WHICH FORMED PART OF THE SERIES ALONG WITH A SWIRL MOTIF DECORATING THE VERGE AND GREEN TRIM ALONG THE RIM. THE HADDON HALL PATTERN IS ACTUALLY INSPIRED BY A TAPESTRY HANGING IN THE ENGLISH COUNTRY HALL OF HADDON IN DERBYSHIRE

THIS PARTICULAR ITEM IS AN OVAL SHAPED LARGE UNDERPLATE FOR A TUREEN AND ALTHOUGH THE TUREEN ITSELF IS NOT PRESENT, THE ITEM CAN ALSO FUNCTION AS A PLATTER OF SORTS WITH THE RECESS AROUND THE CENTER CREATING THE PERFECT DRIP WELL
