The habanero chilli (Capsicum chinense) is one of the more intensely spicy species of chilli peppers of the Capsicum genus. Unripe habaneros are green, and they colour as they mature. Common colours are orange, yellow and red, but white, brown, and pink are also seen. Habanero chilli peppers are rated 100,000 to 350,000 on the Scoville scale.
