The GP42 motor had a chip/scar on one of it's cooling fins, it's almost as if someone had given it a small knock upon assembly but I've buffed it down and it's not influenced the performance at all.

The only thing that's changed is that the gasket between the muffler and engine block has disintegrated as I disassembled it to place in it's box. The gasket is replaceable with a new gasket from your own local hobby shop but this gasket is not necessary.
