Description

Dornier Do X - The Flying Ship

Model Number

Condition

Good. No box. All propellers present and undamaged. No noticeable damage or scratches.

Notes

Nice detailed model. The stand has traces of soft glue used to secure model for falling off. This model is heavy, like the original aircraft. An iconic aeroplane the biggest flying boat built at that time. I recall the documentary stating that its first cross Atlantic laden flight, to Brazil I think, it had to skim above the waves for many kilometers until it used enough fuel to rise higher.

Regarding price

Long time buyers may have noticed a sharp increase in item prices. For the sakes of transparency, let me explain:

I obtain most of my goods from overseas, Europe mostly. Due to the inexorable devaluation of the rand, goods whose price has remained relatively static overseas have near doubled in terms of cost to land here. This is not just a direct per item cost, but includes postage (which has greatly increased in cost), customs and even bank charges. All are affected as they get charge on a rand value. i.e. Because the model cost me more in rand terms, I get charged more in terms of customs.

My request is that people please refrain from trying to contact me to arrange private or bulk deals and so forth. This is contra the platforms rules and also not economically viable for me.
