The Airbus A380 (also known as Super-Jumbo) is a double-decker, four-engine airliner. Designed in close collaboration with major airlines, airports and aviation authorities, it is the most advanced, spacious and productive passenger airliner ever created. The A380 project was launched in December 2000 and the ready-made aircraft entered service in early 2006, setting completely new standards in air travel.
