This book is written for the beginning dance teacher and for the student studying dance. Believing that neither student nor teacher can create out of a vacuum or start from nothing, many suggestions for class experience have been included. One class would not be expected to try all of the suggestions made. The problems included are only points of departure. It is the hope that these problems will lead to the development of original adventures in movement, to the development of discrimination, taste, and understanding.
