MODIFIED SA Recce/ 32 Battalion UNITA copy HBT jacket (shirt now)

Here we have on auction a VERY heavily modified Recce (SA Special Forces) "training greens" olive drab Herring-Bone Twill (HBT) "shirt" - this particular item was sourced as is from the original owner. The item started out as a UNITA copy HBT jacket of the type issued to some sub-units of 32 Battalion and SA SF (Recce's) at times when engaged in false-flag OPs in Angola and later used for training purposes.

Just for show the original jacket would have looked as follows (note the paper tag present);

The previous owner (a very thin and tough individual) had the original jackets's pockets all removed and the top 2 slanted top pockets replaced vertical, the sleeves shortened into a S/S shirt and the inside seams taken in substantially. This is a period correct genuine used item!

These HBT olive drab "greens" are intended to closely resemble the ubiquitous in Portuguese olive green uniforms widely used throughout Southern Africa.

It is interesting to note that the Rhodesian Special Forces also used similar sets for their external missions!

No tags in this shirt BUT one can make out where the original paper size tag was removed.
