What is Moldavite and why do I need it?
Moldavite is a member of the Tektite group, a glassy, deep green mixture of silicon dioxide, aluminium oxide and other metal oxides, with an amorphous crystal system. Most tektite is black or dark brown, almost like obsidian, Moldavite however is a rare green variety. Dr Josef Mayer, a Professor in Natural History at the Charles University in Prague in the end of the 17th century found Moldavite on the banks of the Moldau near the city of Tn nad Vltavou and was the first to publish about it.
Moldavite has long been regarded as a sacred stone. It has been found in altar amulets from as far back as 25000 BCE and has been linked in legend to the fabled Stone of the Holy Grail. In Czech folklore it was believed to guide one to one's destiny and to help one find and preserve true love. Moldavite is said to bring good luck to those who wear it, according to Czech legend. It was also believed moldavite could help bring harmony in marital relationships and so was a common betrothal gift. Moldavite has been used for creating talismans and amulets to bring good fortune, protection and even help with increasing fertility.
In current times, Moldavite is known as a stone of rapid and powerful spiritual transformation. It can catalyse major priority shifts and even physical life changes. Its tendency is to attract all that relates to one's spiritual evolution and highest good, and to dissolve one's connections with whatever hinders that evolution. These can include changes in career, relationships, diet, health and personal goals, as well as inner awakenings, prophetic dreams, and visions of one's true destiny.
