Momordica charanthia
 20 seeds
 "Mini Bitter gourd"
Momordica charantia is a tropical and subtropical vine of the family Cucurbitaceae, widely grown for edible fruit, which is among the most bitter of all vegetables. English names for the plant and its fruit include bitter melon or bitter gourd.
Fruit is elongated, green and has a rough and rumpled skin.
The fruit is most often eaten green, or as it is beginning to turn yellow. At this stage, the fruit's flesh is crunchy and watery in texture, similar to cucumber, chayote or green bell pepper, but bitter. The skin is tender and edible.
As the fruit matures the skin becomes less palatable, while the inside turns sweeter.
Great as an ornamental too.
