Mondo Grass is a clump forming ornamental grass that requires little care once well established. It has dark green grass-like foliage, and the plant produces blue berry-like seeds which adds to the appeal, although it is mostly grown for its foliage.
It is a perfect groundcover, and looks great planted next to a pathway or other borders. Its most common use is to fill the gaps between stepping stones and pavers. It does best in a semi shaded position, but will grow in either sun or shade.
