“The Himalayan Crystal Salt Lamp” is a lamp that has its personality. Each Lamp has unique shape and you can be certain that the one you own is only one of its kinds in the world.

The light shine through its natural semi-transparent crystal colour would give either red-orange, light yellow or cream light. You could choose the colour of light you love and the choice is yours.

“The Himalayan Crystal Salt Lamp” is not only a decorative lamp or a good gift for your love one. The important thing is that the lamp is a natural negative ion creator. When the crystal salt has been heated in a closed room and the salt evaporates then it spread negative ions. The negative ions would bond with the positive ions and attract the dusts and particles. Hence it would clean up the air in the room.

About 260 millions years ago, the earth crusts volatile movements had turned the ocean into the now famous mountain range the “Himalaya”. The sea waters on the other hand, were condensed and buried 600 meters under the Himalayan mountain range and the sea water and the minerals from the earth formed layers of crystal salt. The crystal salts contain 84 types of mineral that body needs and also contain mineral ions.

When harvesting crystal salts, the dynamites could not be used. The only method is through hand harvesting to preserve the structural make up of the crystal salts.

The theory behind the Crystal Salt Lamp:
The crystal salt lamp release negative ions when it is heated. The release of negative ion would balance the positive ions in the air and it could use as a natural air cleansing system.  The main component of the crystal salt lamp is sodium salt. The crystal salt lamp absorbs moisture in the air and evaporates and absorbs and evaporates and this process continues would release the negative ions. When the lamp lights up, the heat increase this absorbs and evaporated process. The heated up lamp would absorb the moistures in the air to the surface of the crystal salt lamp. The water would bond with the salts and melt and get evaporated by the heat. The sodium ions (positive ions) and the chloride (anion) would be return to natural. The evaporating water would develop to negative ions. As this process continues the air in the room get cleansing.

This unique process only occurs in the crystal salt due to the interaction between the crystal salt and water particles. According to study a crystal salt lamp could increase 500 to 700 negative ions per cubic centimeters that would improve the air quality in the room. It is recommended to put the lamp next to the computer or television to neutralized the positive ions that emitted by the monitors.

Negative ions can also provide relief from asthma, sinus, allergies and hey fever, improve sleep quality, and help to alleviate depression caused by the overproduction of serotonin.
