A money safe (also known as a money bank) in the shape of a book, given to customers of the United Building Society. This one, numbered 4004, was made by Pearson, Page, Jewsbury and Co. Ltd in Birmingham. There is no key as the banks and building societies opened these containers for customers when they wanted to deposit the contents. For its age the condition is very good. Size: 118 x 75 x 22 mm.
