MONK AT WINDOW - C. Louw Pfeiffer - Framed

Mmm ... I do not know the artist - Might have been a student - Bought it in a second-hand shop many years ago - It is framed and the painting itself measures 45cm x 60cm. - (Before I retired I was the art teacher at a local high school - I often used used this painting to teach the matrics about monochrome, media, composition, background, subject matter and the like - They also had to say what it made them feel like, they came up with loneliness, regret, peace, entrapment, etc etc - I will always remember the coloured boy who was very outspoken in his reply  "Ag Juffrou, dis sommer net 'n moffie met sy voël.")          .
