According to a cop, Lieutenant Colonel Andre Traut, in an IOL News post, 'a couple from the UK on holiday was hijacked in Cape Town and the woman killed. It appeared that on Saturday 13. November 2010 at around 11 p.m. two armed men approached the shuttle service bus the couple were in at the intersection of NY108 and NY112 in Gugulethu. They forced out the driver and drove off with the couple. Around midnight they dropped the 31-year-old man off in the Harare area of the Khayelitsha informal settlement. After seeking the assistance of a passing motorist, he was taken to Harare police station unharmed. Following a search, the hijacked car, a Volkswagen Sharan, was found in Lingelethu West. The body of the 28-year-old woman was on the back seat. Monkey Business records the murder of Anni Dewani and the incredible aftermath as told by a chorus of family, friends, lawyers, spin doctors, reporters, bloggers, politicians, cops, psychologists, even a kinky sex worker, a story that played out in the international media and on social network sites. Seldom does a murder crack open such a devious world.
