HOUSE-MANIA!!!
While in the process of clearing my wendyhouse (see my WENDYHOUSE-MANIA auctions) I have decided to also make space in some of the drawers in my house, it just gets too much over the years. There are countless nice fountain pens, ballpoint pens and pencils, mostly Montblanc (Meisterstück or Masterpiece, Mark Twain Writers Limited Edition etc), Pelikan (from the 20's or 30's), Cross and one or two more exotic ones that I will be listing. There are some really vintage ones that have been in the family for something like 80 years, older ones that were bought at some stage or that were gifts to my parents and then more recent ones. Some of the pens, vintage and more recent, are still brand new and in their original boxes. I have put a minimum starting price on all of them which is of course from my very subjective view. I really don't know much about pens, never cared much to be honest, although looking at them more closely now they are absolutely fascinating and I understand why people collect them or actually use the high quality ones, they just have a special feel about them, in fact I will keep two or three that I find absolutely stunning. I might be too low or in some cases too high with my starting prices, you can always make me an offer and I can sleep over it. Unfortunately my limited photographic abilities don't do these great pens justice, please ask for extra photos where required, I will do my best ;-)
Up for auction is this vintage original MONTBLANC MASTERPIECE 144 (MEISTERSTÜCK, MEISTERSTUCK) fountain pen with a 585 gold nib in STUNNING CONDITION. The nib has the Montblanc logo and "4810 14C MONTBLANC 585" engraved and the cap's gold rim reads "MASTERPIECE MONTBLANC", the end piece has "144" and "M" (I think for medium size nib) engraved and the cap has an engraving "Glasurit". The Montblanc logo on the cap is a beautiful ivory color. The fountain pen works perfectly and is in outstanding condition, a real collector's item. I think this is from the 50's or 60's, you will have to travel many a mile to find another one this old in this condition!
My items come from a very clean household, they may be used but they will never be dirty, sticky, "tacky" or disgusting.
