Montmartre Oil Painting - Boy

This is an original oil painting of a little boy, purchased in 1965 at Montmartre, Paris, directly from the artist. The painting is signed Michael Popovitch. I remember my parents debating (in hushed tones) whether they should buy it, because it was expensive even then. 

The painting used to hang in the bedroom I shared with my sister in Paris, France.

The frame is still solid, but there is some age related loss of guilding and a small nick mid bottom frame - see picture.
