Monty Python's Flying Circus: Just the Words is a two-volume collection of scripts from the legendary British comedy TV series Monty Python's Flying Circus. Originally published in 1989 to celebrate the show's 20th anniversary, the book compiles the complete dialogue from all episodes, transcribed directly from the original broadcasts.
Volume 1 covers the first 23 episodes, while Volume 2 contains the remaining 22. The scripts were edited by Roger Wilmut, who meticulously transcribed the dialogue, excluding Terry Gilliams surreal animations. The book also includes black-and-white stills taken from videotapes of the series.
This collection is a must-have for fans of Monty Python, offering a chance to relive the absurdity, satire, and brilliance of sketches like The Spanish Inquisition, Spam, and The Dead Parrot.
