Mozambique: Countermarked Mombasa Silver Rupee of 1888 (Very Scarce)

The PM stands for Província de Moçambique. These coins were to be redeemed for Portuguese coins on their entry to the public treasury. Apparently, a decree of 1889 only included Austrian Thalers to be countermarked, but for some reason, a few other coins were also marked. Small hole. Very Scarce.

We offer a 100% 7-day money back guarantee. Please view our shipping options, as it clearly spells out all our rules (including rating our services) that you must read before bidding on our items. When you have won an item, we accept that you have indeed read these rules.
