This boxset is a lavish, already historic, production of Mozart's sacred music with exception of the masses, that make up another thick volume.

I say historic because the interpretations are so good and the recorded sound so exceptional that it will beat the competition anytime. this old (80s) Philips production is like a good old wine; it cannot become better, but it's a benchmark of choir singing and sound engineering.

Mozart wrote a lot of music for the services of Salzburg cathedral, of which the best known are the two sets of Vespers and Litanies. They're both fantastic. Plus, many shorter works for the proper of the mass and others just devotional. Many jewels are hidden among these, and not as well known as the Vespers.
