MPD Super 16TE XT system (FAULTY)

M PD Super 16TE XT system

This box includes: PSU, "Super 16TE" motherboard, 5.25" Floppy drive and an unspecified 8bit ISA addon card.

The motherboard DOES NOT WORK, it is KAPUT. Perhaps it could be fixed, but it's beyond my capabilities, I do not know what is wrong with it, it has never worked since I acquired it. Some of the ISA slots show blueish residue which looks a bit like battery acid.

The PSU seems to work fine, the power switch had been cut off,  I soldered it back on, I did not thoroughly insulate it, just wrapped some insulation tape around it, please do not shock yourself.

I have not tested the floppy drive, it looks cosmetically OK which in my experience usually means it will work, but no guarantees, there is no ribbon cable for the drive included.

I am not sure what the 8 bit ISA card is, I suspect it's an ancient dialup modem as it has two RJ11 jacks on it.

Overall I'd say this is most likely useful for someone needing an old XT casing, this one has vertical card slots and the keyboard socket is on the side not the back.
