Aventurine is one of the most popular Murano Glass techniques, distinguished by its special look of sparkling particles captured inside translucent glass. Translucent glass with sparkling inclusions of gold flecks, copper, or chromic oxide, first made in Venice in the 15th century. It resembles minerals like feldspar or quartz, which may have tiny flecks of glittering material that add shine and sparkle.

The chalcedony glass is a particular decorative type of glass made from a mix of coloury metals, mainly green, brown and purple to imitate the precious Chalcedony stones such as the agate, onyx, malachite, lapis lazuli and jasper.

Murano glass is a specific style of glass that's handmade and is made with bold colors that are often layered in a technique that is called Sommerso. All Murano pieces are hand-blown glass or mouth-blown.
