MURANO ART GLASS YELLOW BUBBLES AND LEAF BOWL BY SEGUSO 1950s

Superb late 1940s to 1950s Murano Archimede Seguso art glass.

Handblown Murano glass from mid-20th century Italy.

Archimede Seguso comes from a long line of Italian glassmakers and is known as
"the master of the inner reflective power of glass".

  The gold is heavy in the center and and thins as it veils up the walls to the rims. 
The rich gold fleck decor was blown with the glass and is called "aventurine" or "aventurina".

The controlled bubbles spiral up from the center.
The Italians called this technique "Bullicante" and they were masters at this difficult decor.
 

The bowl measures 7cm tall and 14cm  x 12cm at the rim. The base is 4cm.
It is in excellent condition with no chips, scratches,cracks or repairs.
