The item is a REAL musical instrument which is part of the LUTE and/or Guitar family of Stringed instruments. The Ukulele originated in the 19th Century as a Hawaiian adaptation of the Portuguese Machete, a small guitar-like instrument, which was introduced to Hawaii by Portuguese immigrants, many from Madeira and the Azores. It gained popularity in the USA in the 20th Century and from there spread internationally.

The Ukulele as a Musical instrument is manufactured in SEVEN different versions which are  ::  POCKET, SOPRANO, CONCERT, TENOR, BARITONE , BASS and CONTRABASS.

THIS VERSION IS REGARDED AS THE CONCERT VERSION and is the Classical Hand-made Ukulele

It has ALL FOUR of its Nylon Strings and is a completely functional Item, although its MAGNIFICENT Beauty does readily allow for it to serve in a Purely Decorational and/or Ornamental fashion also    At the Bottom of the Main Body is -- "MAURITIUS" in Silver

This item has a small spot right at the top of the neck where some of the black paint has flaked off but otherwise it is in PERFECT structural condition. It has NO breakages or damages, as are the Strings and the 4 string Tuners, the bridge, saddle and fretboard are ALL in PERFECT condition
