MVIX 2500U portable media player with 160GB HDD

This is a portable media player which is also usable as an external HDD. Included is the player with 160GB HDD installed, power supply, original user guide and software CD, soft pouch, remote control, USB cable + USB power cable, composite video out cable and AV cable for video projectors with AV in the VGA port.

Things to note:

  • The player is pretty dated, it will not support the most modern video formats.
  • Although it can be used as a portable HDD it does not run directly off just the USB power, the adapter must be used or the USB-Power cable which does not always work in my experience.
  • The cable with the VGA socket does not allow you to plug it into a VGA monitor, it's intended for certain projectors which have the AV wires in the VGA port.
  • The HDD is also pretty old, see the smart log in the pictures.
