With Dual LED illumination, the Duo-Scope is two microscopes in one. It can function as a compound microscope, where the light shines up from underneath for viewing slides, or it can function as a dissecting stereo microscope, where the light shines down for observing solid objects.

Get Up Close with Three Levels of Magnification
The Duo-Scope uses real optical glass lenses to provide 40x, 100x, and 400x magnification objectives to view slides or solid objects from the 10x eyepiece.
The disc diaphragm, located directly below the stage, has six different apertures that allow various amounts of light to pass through to provide the right light for viewing.

The Duo-Scope microscope comes with five blank slides and laboratory accessories to prepare specimens. Four prepared slides are provided to get young scientists started. The accessories include slide labels, cover glass, a plastic dropper, non-toxic stain, forceps, lens paper, a test tube, a petri dish, and a straight teasing needle.
Battery Operated for "In-the-Field" Operation
Powered by three AA batteries, this cordless microscope allows for "in-the-field" research and observations.
