In September 2005 off the coast of South Africa, the yacht Moquini went missing off the Southern tip of Madagascar during the Mauritius to Durban Ocean Yacht Race. Months of extensive searching proved futile and gradually the families of the six missing crewmen accepted that their loved ones would not be returning. Captured by the media across the world, the story of the Moquini was depicted as a tragedy with a hopeless end. Yet for Karen and yer young family, it has become a story of endless hope.
