An "apparently sound and normal city man", leaves his home and family at Hampstead Heath, for a big game safari in his native land. Part hunting journal in Kenya, and part travelogue.

Undated hardcover (likely 1936) of 255mm x 195mm, green cloth with red titling, and raised image of a rhinoceros on the front, with a red background, lightly scuffed and worn. Boards bowed somewhat. Pictorial endpapers showing the air route the author followed to Cape Town from London. Frontispiece portrait of the author, below which he has signed a dedication to a previous owner. 127 pages, most heavily foxed, ending with a limitation page stating this is copy number 220 of a limited edition of 500 produced. Sketches by the author at page edges, and a photographic collage of his hunting exploits in Kenya.
