It is a darkly comic adult novel first published in 1979. Unlike Dahls famous childrens books, this story is aimed at adults and combines satire, sexual humor, adventure and outrageous schemes. The novel is narrated by Oswald Hendryks Cornelius, a wealthy, eccentric Englishman who prides himself on being a charming rogue and connoisseur of pleasure. During his travels, Oswald discovers a miraculous aphrodisiac powder derived from the Sudanese blister beetle. Realizing its commercial potential, he teams up with the seductive Yasmin Howcomely and a morally flexible scientist to exploit the powder in a wildly ambitious plot. Together, they devise a bizarre scheme to secretly obtain sperm samples from some of the most famous men in Europe,  including celebrated writers, artists, scientists and royalty and sell the resulting offspring to wealthy women eager to bear children of genius. The targets include fictionalized versions of historical figures such as Pablo Picasso, Albert Einstein and Sigmund Freud. Good condition. Softcover, 18cm x 11cm, 204 pages.
